Overview:
Seeking a Workday Business Analyst to join a team. This role will analyze customer business needs and participate in the planning, design and implementation of new or enhanced systems. The position will be responsible for analyzing, configuring, and supporting the Workday platform to optimize human capital management (HCM), and other business processes. The role involves working with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translating them into system configurations, and ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the Workday system. Also serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and mentor junior analysts.
Role:
- Perform Workday configuration and optimization of Payroll modules within Workday to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Analyze current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Build custom reports and dashboards within Workday to provide business insights and support decision-making.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate system configuration and ensure that updates and changes meet business needs.
- Serve as the liaison between business units and IT teams, ensuring effective communication and successful outcomes.
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of new systems or processes, ensuring smooth integration into existing operations.
- Create detailed functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and other documentation to support project execution and future reference.
- Guide and mentor junior business analysts, sharing best practices and providing leadership in complex analytical tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- 7 - 10+ years of experience in business analysis.
- Strong experience in business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., SWOT analysis, BPMN, etc.)
- Advanced data analysis skills with tools like Excel, SQL, and BI tools such as Tableau or
Power BI.
- Experience with process improvement frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Desired qualifications:
- Workday certifications in Workday Payroll.
- Experience with data migration and integration tools such as Workday Studio, EIBs, or APIs.
- Experience working in HR or finance teams is a plus.
- Certification such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) is a plus.
- Experience with ERP or CRM systems implementation.
- Ability to travel on occasion.
