We are seeking a savvy Communications professional for the role of Corporate Communications Senior Manager. This person will lead on executive thought leadership and content development for Engineering organization. As part of this role, there will be a specific focus on owned content creation for the SVP of Engineering, while working in lockstep with the broader engineering external comms team to uncover earned opportunities.
An interest in technology is a must for this role, with the ideal candidate having strong experience in the sector. They will be a go-getter with rigorous attention to detail, strong content creation skills, and a passion for working with executives to shape corporate-level stories.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on content development (social videos, on platform posts, script development) and project manage major external content projects for the engineering organization.
- Work closely with engineering leadership on technical focused narratives that support the goals of the wider business.
- Lead on developing cross-platform narratives for Engineering Executives - speaking opps, earned media, on platform content.
- Lead on wider engineering org external content development including on platform content for Engineering Executives and company’s Engineering Blog.
- Collaborate with engineering comms team on thought leadership stories that can be used externally in the press.
- Work with employee comms to scale external narratives, content and messaging internally.
Top Skills:
- 8+ years of related PR or external communications experience.
- Experience working with senior executives.
- Experience working for a technology company or creating content about the tech industry.
- Skilled in Corporate Communications, Technology Communications, Complex Problem Solving, Intellectual Curiosity, Stakeholder Management, Content creation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Outstanding content development skills across a variety of channels - written, video, audio.
- Very strong project management skills for large scale external comms activities.
Education:
- Bachelors’ degree is preferred but not required.
