About S&W: Founded in 1998, Smith & Wilkinson is a consulting firm located in South Portland, Maine that supports our clients in the achievement of their own strategic initiatives through the recruitment, retention, and development of top talent. We serve clients across multiple industry verticals, and our service offerings include executive search, succession planning, executive coaching, and group leadership development. We are a team of 22 people in various roles, including client and candidate facing consultants, operational support staff, and leadership coaches.
We are looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to lead our marketing efforts, combining creative capacity, graphic design, writing skills, excellent attention to detail and a strong bias for action to repeatedly execute on a wide array of marketing deliverables in support of S&W’s growth initiatives. The successful candidate will interact with all levels of the organization daily and be the sole marketing team member. This necessitates a broad range of marketing competencies and an ability to problem solve independently.
This is a position for someone with 3-10 years of experience who is looking to deliver on our existing marketing strategy and over time improve both marketing strategy and execution. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and project manage marketing projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to marketing calendar.
- Translate S&W achievements, thought leadership, and new client engagements into compelling digital content that drives audience engagement.
- Design, create, and maintain digital marketing materials, including presentations, document templates, and proposal logos.
- Maintain and improve the company’s website and social media platforms.
- Act as “last look” proofreader on all published content.
- Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns.
- Support trade show attendance with updated collateral such as brochures & rack cards.
- Assist in the development of marketing strategy.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Graphic Design, Liberal Arts, etc.) and 3-10 years of experience in a marketing role. Additional experience in lieu of formal education will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and marketing software (e.g., CRM tools, email marketing platforms).
- Familiarity with managing social media platforms, SEO best practices, and digital marketing trends.
- Basic/intermediate graphic design skills, including proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Familiarity with Wordpress back-end website management.
- Experience in professional services or financial services industry.
