Position Overview:

Our client, a well-known regional bank in the Tri State area, is seeking an experienced SBA Department Manager to oversee portfolio management and 7(a) lending. This role will be responsible for managing a growing SBA department and will play a key role in its long-term development and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the SBA portfolio, ensuring compliance and performance standards are met.
• Lead and manage the 7(a) lending process, including origination, portfolio management, as well as processing and servicing.
• Supervise and mentor a team of SBA professionals.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow the SBA portfolio and expand departmental capabilities.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Collaborate with senior management to drive business development and increase SBA loan volume.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of SBA Lending experience.
• Proven experience in SBA lending, with a focus on 7(a) loans and portfolio management.
• Management experience.
• Knowledge of the SBA SOP.
