ARM CAMCO is seeking to hire a Field Service Engineer who is tasked with providing the necessary technical skill, organization, and leadership to complete assigned projects both onsite at customer locations and in the shop. Key to success in this role is completing projects according to plan and specifics, safely, on time, of exceptional quality, thinking always about customer satisfaction. The Field Service Engineer role is required to travel to customer locations on a frequent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and/or test electrical systems and components for various types of client applications (i.e., transformers, breakers, cables, panels, relays, etc.) either in the field or shop, following appropriate procedures.
- Effectively use field testing equipment such as Megger, Hi-pot, Ductor, Relay Calibration & Transformer Test Equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical equipment failures in existing systems.
- Supervise all field jobs.
- Prepare reports for field jobs through documentation obtained while on site and send completed reports with summaries to customers.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for designs, specifications, and work progress.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for potential projects.
- Accurately enter project work time and maintain project data in the ERP system.
- Work safely at all times while following appropriate OSHA, MSHA, CAMCO and customer specific rules and regulations.
- Follow ISO 9001 standard procedures to ensure quality standards are met.
- Effectively communicate with internal team members, external partners, and clients to ensure that all client needs are met or exceeded.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Electrical Technology.
- Experience in Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret electrical wiring diagram/schematics.
- Sufficient mathematical ability to appropriately apply electrical equations to solve technical problems.
- Experience with Megger, Hi-pot, Ductor, Relay Calibration & Transformer test equipment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Ability and willingness to travel, within a specific region (50%). Occasionally, some overnight travel will be required.
- Possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelors’ of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to include, but not limited to, standing, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, and lifting up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
