Position Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Reports To : VP of Operations

Position Location: Hazelhurst, GA

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of company's QA department
• Responsible for all aspects of document control including the creation and revision of documentation, processes, and standards.
• Maintain an internal audit system
• Manage customer audits, supplier audits, and participate in customer/supplier visits
• Responsible for overall supplier quality
• Approve and maintain visual inspection standards, physical testing specifications, and customer specific requirements
• Manage certification and calibration of ASTM testing equipment for the plant
• Monitor quality reporting data, returns/allowances as a percentage of sales, and customer scorecard ratings
• Manage Certificate of Analysis (COA) process for incoming raw materials and finished goods
• Assist process engineers with FMEA and Control Plan maintenance
• Respond to customer concerns including authorization of credit requests or returns
• Assist in root cause analysis and develop corrective action strategies for internal and customer related quality issues

Education Requirements:

• 4-year degree, preferably in a technical area, e.g. engineering

Work Experience:

• 5+ years in a Quality role
• 5+ years in a Nonwovens Extrusion Manufacturing Operation
• Team management/supervision experience
• Lean Manufacturing
• Strong preference to have Needle Punch extrusion experience.
• Prefer experience with Minitab or similar statistical analysis software package, and
• Lean Six Sigma manufacturing methodology
• Prefer experience with a Quality Management System
