Job Description

We are seeking a Product Engineer to lead the development of key products and product programs in the residential/light commercial plumbing and Hydronic heating industries. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle from concept to market, including re-launching existing products with innovative enhancements. The ideal candidate will drive profitability and revenue by enhancing functionality, performance, and efficiencies of our products.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Global Sourcing, and other departments to prioritize product concepts and development projects.
  • Develop project budgets and monitor project costs in coordination with the Finance team.
  • Work with Global Sourcing to identify partner factories for product manufacturing and ensure qualification.
  • Define detailed product specifications and test requirements.
  • Conduct or coordinate R&D activities for material selection.
  • Obtain industry compliance certifications and listings in collaboration with manufacturing partners.
  • Support Quality Control team in qualifying product prototypes and First Out of Tooling (FOT).
  • Analyze product returns and assist in identifying root causes of failures for existing and future products.
  • Assist in developing technical content for customer training, sales teams, and technical service departments.
  • Provide technical input for market strategies and competitor benchmarking.
  • Develop technical documentation including Installation, Operation, and Maintenance manuals, product submittals, and instructional videos.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in product engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience in residential/light commercial plumbing and/or Hydronic heating markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), GoTo Meeting, WebEx, or similar webinar-based software platforms.
  • Onsite work required.
