Job Summary

Freeport LNG, a leading force in the global LNG market, is excited to launch its Summer Internship Program. Internship opportunities exist at our Terminal locations in Quintana, TX. The 2025 Summer Internship Program will last for 12 weeks and will run from late May to early August. Students will work with managers, provide support to their departments, interact with employees, vendors, and team members. The internship will focus on supporting various initiatives, department objectives, and impactful projects. Interns will also work closely with a mentor for the duration of the program. At the conclusion of the internship program, students will deliver a presentation to senior leadership highlighting the projects they worked on.

Duties/Responsibilities

Engineering

The successful candidates will work as a key member in the electrical engineering group focused on projects and connecting with other engineering groups.

Possible work includes:

• Provide day to day technical service, project management, engineering design, reports, modeling, and analysis.
• Interface with operations, maintenance, commercial and other personnel.
• Participate in site safety activities.
• Work on a variety of meaningful projects.

Minimum Qualification/Work Experience

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• Current level in college: Sophomore through Senior or Graduate Student

• Expected graduation date: Fall 2025 through Spring/Fall 2028

• A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for internship

HSE Roles and Responsibilities

Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE and Process Safety Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
