IT Support Engineer

Location: Lawrenceville, GA


We’re currently seeking an IT Support Engineer to join a dedicated IT team. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for high performers.

Primary Functions:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for advanced technical support, managing service requests via chat, email, and phone.
  • Monitor and respond to IT alerts, efficiently creating and managing service tickets.
  • Troubleshoot and support ERP systems, Microsoft applications, virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Azure), and network connectivity.
  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, SQL, SharePoint) and custom system solutions.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and update internal systems documentation.
  • Develop and revise training materials to keep them relevant and effective.

Additional Duties:

  • Collaborate with the IT Services team for seamless ticket escalation and resolution.
  • Document processes and procedures related to your responsibilities.
  • Manage service tickets and phases using ConnectWise under the direction of the IT Manager.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and IT trends through training and research.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in IT or a related field.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+.

Preferred:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems, business applications, and network systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical expertise in IT support tools, service awareness, and resource allocation.
