Automation Technician - Phoenix, AZ
Openings:
- 2nd Shift: 2 positions available (3 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.)
- 3rd Shift: 3 positions available (11 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.)
** All positions are 6 months, contract to hire opportunities**
Pay Rate: $30/hr to $33/hr
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, electrical, and PLC or robotic experience.
Responsibilities:
As one of our Automation Technicians, you will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing our production equipment. Your key duties will include:
- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment
- Gaining in-depth product knowledge to maintain high equipment performance and uptime
- Interacting with automated production machines
Detailed Responsibilities:
Reports to: Manager, Automation Support
- Maintenance: Ensure equipment supports manufacturing operations effectively.
- Communication: Keep line leads and supervisors informed about equipment status.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment malfunctions, decide on corrective actions, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve issues.
- Work Orders: Fulfill assigned and ad-hoc tasks in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Inventory: Manage parts in CMMS to keep inventory levels accurate.
- Process Reviews: Participate in process reviews for products.
- Problem Solving: Engage in both individual and team brainstorming and problem-solving activities.
- Safety: Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- Strong mechanical and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technician working with complex equipment
- Preferred experience with automated assembly equipment and high-volume automated systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
- Desired background in troubleshooting
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, "can-do" attitude and a willingness to expand professional knowledge
