TRC’s client is a leader in mechanical contracting, engineering, design, and construction looking for a Mechanical Project Manager on a full-time, direct hire basis in the Springfield, MA or East Lyme, CT areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage mechanical design build projects. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, purchase orders, contracts / documentation, etc.; oversee and coordinate work of contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams.
• Collaborate with various internal teams and external parties throughout the entire project.
• Regularly visit client project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications. Conduct inspections ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards; prepare and obtain necessary permits and regulatory approvals.
• Communicate project updates, changes, and progress to stakeholders; facilitate project meetings ensuring clear and effective communication with all parties.
• Track project expenses and ensure adherence to project budgets; identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones; address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise.
• Oversee pre-construction, construction, and project closeout processes, including final inspections and documentation.
• Manage, train, and develop Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field
• 6+ years of experience project management in mechanical contracting including mechanical construction experience
• Willingness and ability to travel to projects sites regionally
• Exceptional leadership, communication, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative team-based environments
