Job Description:

The Mint (client specific team within BBDO/Omnicom Production, LLC) is looking for a strong, creative, energetic and production-focused Account Director to join our team. The Mint Account Director role is a hybrid of account and project management and oversees both the client relationship as well as the internal project workflow. This role is a key point of contact with our Client’s Executive Producers and Brand Experience Managers, as well as our production partners.

You’ll be joining our dedicated and highly talented team to help create innovative content and production solutions for top brands. While The Mint team works in the BBDO MW office and alongside the agency, the employer for this position is Omnicom Production, LLC.

Primary goals for this role are to ensure:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Client Relationship – Building positive rapport with clients and serving as a trusted advisor for client relationships. Fostering organic business development opportunities within existing clien Anticipate Client needs, keeping the agency in the position of leading rather than following.
  • Intake – Owning the “client intake” process; being a key client service representative. Translation of client brief into executional briefs. Creative problem solving to assemble the best production approach with our Head of Production and core creative team. Creating schedules and assigning work, ensuring all projects are set up across internal systems.
  • Innovator – Ability to see white space and shape growth opportunities. We are often tasked with exploring new platforms and ways of working and having an operational mindset unlocks pathways to repeatable business.
  • Scope – Understanding and predicting content production scope and budgeting to properly align projects with appropriate talent-for-task team. Creating ballparks and estimates for all ad hoc projects as well as managing retainers.
  • Liaison – Acting as liaison between Executive Producers/Brand Experience Managers and Mint leadership team in the oversight of each project. For large scale programs, acting as a liaison across agency partners. Leading the coordination of communications and organizing / preparing for stakeholder meetings or presentations.
  • Project Management – Managing various stages of production workflow, supporting the creative and production teams throughout. Tracking status of deliverables across multiple projects. Being responsible for quality control of all client deliverables. Helping to maintain strict server structure. Supporting the collection and release of final files and supporting documentation to our clients and their partners.
  • Financial/Business Management – Working closely with the business manager to administer and report on project progress, monthly project close out, reporting and metrics.
  • Status – Overseeing internal and client status meetings and maintaining project status trackers. Keep Mint management informed of status of client relations, including personnel changes and issues pertaining to performance.


Professional Requirements and Competencies:

  • A strong account management background, including past experience managing client accounts and supervising account teams
  • Highly developed organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently
  • A strong sense of urgency and commitment to get the job done quickly and with high quality
  • Strong understanding of social and digital platforms and programmatic creative
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; a great presenter
  • Collaborative “team-player” who can adapt to frequent change and works well under pressure
  • Upbeat and positive attitude with a “get it done” mentality
  • Experience in database/project management systems
  • Skilled at resolving expectation gaps between clients and creatives
  • Flexible during high-volume periods (some longer hours)
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Workfront or Screen Dragon
  • Working knowledge of Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite


Location

This role requires a minimum of 2-3 days working at The Mint downtown Minneapolis location (BBDO MW office) and one day onsite at Client’s headquarters or in the office for a total of 4 days/week onsite. The client's HQ is 15 minutes from the downtown office.
