The Director of Maintenance will oversee and maintain the organization's fleet of semi-trucks and dry van trailers, as well as other company owned vehicles.
Responsibilities:
-Must possess a solid understanding of truck mechanics, maintenance procedures and industry regulations.
-Capable of identifying and resolving mechanical issues efficiently, including but not limited to troubleshooting issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
-Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage scheduled maintenance, inspections and repairs according to DOT regulations.
-Ability to analyze data and interpret maintenance reports, identify trends, track key performance indicators and make decisions to improve fleet efficiency.
-Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with the maintenance team, vendors, operations team and drivers to maintain a positive environment.
Requirements:
-Class A CDL Preferred but not required – (This could really make or break a candidate if we were to have 2 that are capable of the other job duties. I put on there preferred, but I’d love to have someone that does possess that Class A CDL).
-Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record
-High School Diploma
-Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of Products including, but not limited to Outlook, Excel & Word, plus be capable of utilizing maintenance software programs efficiently.
Experience:
-Truck/Diesel Maintenance: 5 Years
-Management: 5 Years
Schedule:
-Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm with the understanding that meeting the needs of the fleet and the responsibilities of the department may require flexible/extended hours.
-Nighttime and Weekend On-Call
