Kelly is hiring a Bakery Application Technician for one of our food manufacturing clients in Beloit, WI


Brief Overview : This team is very hands on in the lab kitchen, work is dynamic and not routine. Team mostly has background in the life sciences with baking experience. Need someone who can manage a fast paced environment and ability to train on various new tasks and be agile. Creating concepts and baking products (dough and batter based products – cakes, muffins, cookies, pastries, etc).

Duration : Approved for 1 year

Schedule : M-F 8 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay: $28/hr

Qualifications : Want a food science degree, but someone with a life science degree would need to have relevant experience working with food in either a professional or personal environment. Someone with a degree is strongly preferred over someone with no degree. Open to Master's degree maximum level of education.

Soft Skills : Must be detail oriented. Energetic, eager to learn. Works well in a team. Fast paced.

Food Allergies? : Tasting involved for gluten and dairy

Interview process : 1st virtual, 2nd onsite interview

Potential to convert? : TTH possible but no specific duration to convert and based on performance and fit



Bakery Application Technician

• Work in Bakery Application Lab and support application studies and prototypes preparation for bakery customers as well as internal Kerry stakeholders

• Work with other functions within Kerry and support bakery lab activities and projects.


Key Responsibilities:

• Employ efficient time management techniques.

• Support bakery application trials, collect processing data, sample preparation and finished product evaluations in an organized and consistent manner

• Manage and organize bakery raw materials and all lab samples, organize work surfaces and samples on bench, and support for scheduled monthly lab deep cleanings

• Must be able to taste and smell chemicals, flavors and food products, able to handle bakery enzymes. Participate all tasting sessions.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a laboratory setting and lift 50 lbs.
