Contract Administrator

Location: Rockville, MD (Hybrid)

Duration: 6-month Contract-to-hire

Salary Range: $70,000-$120,000 depending on level of experience


Job Responsibilities:


Contract Management

  • Draft and review federal government contracts, including subcontracts and team agreements, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements such as deliverables, timelines, and reporting.
  • Oversee the submission and tracking of contractual deliverables, ensuring all milestones are met according to the contract terms.
  • Assist in proposal development, contract renewals, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and track contract data, including performance, budget, and contractual terms, to ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations.
  • Review and negotiate contract terms, ensuring all deliverables are clearly defined and measurable.

Compliance & Financial Support

  • Ensure compliance with federal government regulations including FAR, DFARS, and GSA (General Services Administration) requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing, payments, and financial reporting in line with contract terms.
  • Maintain necessary documentation for audits, certifications, and compliance with government standards (e.g., GSA schedules, SBA certifications).

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary contractual point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners to ensure contract performance and customer satisfaction.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal government contracting, with a focus on contract management and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting processes, including FAR, DFARS, and GSA compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting contracts, subcontract agreements, and team agreements.
  • Familiarity with federal government compliance requirements and tracking contractual data.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contract management software.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with federal contracting systems such as SAM, GSA eBuy, and FPDS.
  • Knowledge of small business certifications and set-aside programs (e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB).
