Job Purpose:
Sceye is seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Officer to lead and manage all aspects of the company’s compliance programs. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that Sceye adheres to all legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements across the organization, with particular focus on aerospace, technology, and government regulations. This role will collaborate closely with leadership to mitigate risks and ensure Sceye operates in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
What You’ll Do:
· Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s compliance program, policies, and procedures.
· Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to aerospace, defense, and federal contracting.
· Stay up-to-date on all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and communicate their impact on Sceye’s operations.
· Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
· Work closely with the Legal Director and other departments to ensure compliance in contracts, employment, safety, environmental, and financial matters.
· Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees at all levels.
· Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to policies and identify areas for improvement.
· Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies, including government bodies such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Defense (DoD), and Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
· Manage the company's response to compliance inquiries and audits from external regulatory authorities.
· Provide guidance on specific compliance requirements for contracts, export controls, and government regulations.
· Report compliance issues, findings, and corrective actions to senior leadership and the Legal Director.
· Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For :
· Degree in law, business, finance, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in the aerospace, defense, telecommunications or technology sectors.
· In-depth knowledge of industry-specific regulations, including aerospace and defense compliance, government contracting, and export controls.
· Experience in developing, implementing, and managing corporate compliance programs.
· Strong understanding of regulatory bodies, including the FAA, DoD, BIS and/or FCC.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to educate and advise employees on compliance matters.
· Ability to assess complex compliance issues and propose practical solutions.
· Entrepreneurial spirit and a strong problem-solving skillset coupled with attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Relevant certifications in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) are a plus.
