Serenity Kids is the fastest growing and top selling shelf stable baby food in the country. Since launching

in 2018, we now sell in over 20,000 stores nationwide with more on the way and have a total of 35

products in three categories, with line extensions and new categories in the works.


In addition to expanding our products, we are projecting to more than double the size of our team over the next few years, driving growth in the brand and mission of Serenity Kids.  


JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective communication with suppliers, factories and trucking companies. This person will assess inventory needs, determine optimal order quantities and manage the procurement process. This person will work within DEAR systems, will proactively resolve or escalate issues, place purchase orders and manage adjustments as needed. Collaboration and negotiation with suppliers will be key to secure favorable terms.


The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and organizational skills, excelling at  managing multiple tasks simultaneously, while paying attention to the details and meeting

deadlines. This results oriented individual thrives in an environment of ambiguity, demonstrating the ability to flex and adapt to changing circumstances. 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Procurement and Material Management

  • Execute all material needs, including purchasing ingredients and packaging based on production needs
  • Develop and implement procurement plans to ensure on-time delivery or pickup of all raw materials and finished goods
  • Maintain positive safety stock levels across all finished goods locations


Inventory Analysis and Coordination

  • Analyze production plans and extrapolate them into ingredient and material orders
  • Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and receiving documentation within the inventory system
  • Collaborate with supply chain team to perform month-end stock adjustments


Logistics and Coordination

  • Coordinate with production facilities, 3PL warehouses and direct-to-consumer fulfillment partners to manage inbound and outbound inventory needs
  • Manage and coordinate the logistics of material flow for all raw materials, packaging, and R&D materials for new products
  • Confer with other departments to ensure seamless material and product flow


Quality Assurance and Standards

  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure all procured items meet the Serenity Kids’ gold standard for quality and taste


Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Manage and report on production variances, holding production facilities accountable to pre-defined waste percentages
  • Continuously improve purchasing systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy


Perform other related duties as required or assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain coordination
  • Previous startup and CPG experience strongly desired
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically in Excel
  • NetSuite or DEAR experience is a plus
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively 
  • Detail oriented with strong negotiation capabilities and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to work and communicate effectively cross-functionally with multiple groups
  • Must be agile, curious, ready to learn and have a driven attitude

Based on this position and the requirements above, we are offering a yearly salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 plus a bonus potential and company equity for this position.
