The Grand Lady is seeking an Associate General Manager to manage facility operations in preparation for client events as well as venue management for weekend events.

Responsibilities:
Onsite Event Management Responsibilities
- Oversee Friday and Saturday weddings (with Sundays off) at The Grand Lady, with a varied number of weekends and holidays off which vary during seasons.
- Set up tables, chairs, and rental items according to client layouts for weekend events.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds and enthusiastic about physical labor.
- Conduct all final walkthroughs and serve as the main point of contact on event day for clients, ensuring excellent communication.
- Enforce safety, security, and property regulations as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors and supervise their logistics during events, concluding with end-of-night checkouts.
- Ensure property is in good condition every shift (i.e. everything is functioning properly, all
- trash on property collected). Reports major areas needing attention to Christy/Sean.
- Clean, store, and maintain inventory and rental items after each event.
- Fill in for any vacant venue manager shifts when necessary.
- Coordinate security personnel schedules for all events.
Weekly Operations Responsibilities :
- Schedules, coordinates, manages, and executes walkthroughs and client operation meetings with clients, planners and necessary vendors.
- Handles all supplies ordering, restocking, and operational preparedness for weddings.
- Monitors functionality and condition of event spaces ie. house, hall, guest restrooms, storage spaces, outdoor event spaces, and event inventory.
- Recruits, interviews, trains, schedules, and supervises any needed venue managers.
- Assists GM with any client needs wedding rehearsals, walkthroughs, tours, and administrative task.
- Assists and staffs on special projects including planning Open Houses, Grand Lady events, and various marketing/desk tasks as required.
- Manages social media accounts by planning, creating, and scheduling engaging content, ensuring brand alignment and driving growth, engagement, and conversions.
Requirements:
- Event management, catering management, or wedding coordination/planning preferred.
- Willing to work on evenings and weekends, willing to hold a variable schedule according to event calendar
- Capable of self-directed progress on independent responsibilities and projects away from management
- Able to lift 50 pounds and able to work long hours on your feet.
- Good at connecting with clients and great at communicating with people.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations.
Hours:
- To be salaried and scheduled as available full time team member with core reporting responsibilities from Tuesday-Saturday barring company holidays.
- Friday and Saturday on-site responsibilities apply only on weekends with booked events.
- Variable scheduling requires willing and ready availability, flexibility, willingness to report outside of normal hours as needed.
- Sample Weekly Schedule Tuesday/Sunday.
- Tuesday/Wednesday:Hybrid - Offer Final Walkthroughs, WFH projects, email, and phone availability to TGL team or clients as needed (8 hours).
- Thursday: Weekend prep (8 hours).
- Friday: 8-11hrs shifts between 7:30am/9:30am - midnight based on scheduling.
- Saturday: 8-11hrs shifts between 7:30am/9:30am - midnight based on scheduling
- Sunday: On Call.
