Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or economics
- 7 years of relevant experience
- 3 years in the aerospace industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing methods and procedures, including specification writing.
- Extensive knowledge of local supply markets.
- Knowledge of MRP, MAPICS, manufacturing software, Microsoft excel, word
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Background as a Buyer, Procurement Agent I or II, GL (general ledger) or Planner Production environment experience
Job Description:
A large aerospace company is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Los Alamitos. This person will be responsible for commodity management, strategic sourcing, operational purchasing, materials planning, indirect purchasing, sub-contract management, and supplier development for products worldwide. This individual leads the development and execution of Global Supply Management sourcing strategies, policies, tactics, and objectives for all applicable global commodities linked with subsidiaries, business, and manufacturing strategies. They will also develop and implement supply chain best practices to enhance performance and improve profitability in addition to ensuring the supply of quality material and drives for the lowest total landed cost. Salary Range: 125k-135k Responsibilities: Develop and implement global procurement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability. Build and lead a supplier development team, focusing on best cost country sourcing. Optimize supply chain practices to enhance customer service and reduce costs. Manage supply chain infrastructure for new program scalability and risk assessments. Lead a team to ensure continuous supply of quality materials and meet cost reduction targets. Conduct vendor management, including Long Term Agreements and supplier performance evaluations. Negotiate contracts and pricing with direct and indirect suppliers. Drive inventory management projects to increase turnover and reduce waste. Standardize procurement processes and documentation. Manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers, focusing on cost control and efficiency.
