Okta Engineer

Duration: 3-6 month contract to hire

Location: In office 3-4 days/week.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Okta identity solutions to enhance security and user experience across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement identity and access management policies.
• Perform system integration tasks with existing applications and services to ensure smooth identity management processes.
• Monitor and manage Okta environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.
• Conduct training sessions for internal staff on Okta usage and best practices.
• Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and implement recommended best practices for security enhancement.
• Document technical processes, configurations, and implementations for effective knowledge sharing.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments related to identity management and security.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Okta's identity management platform and its underlying technology stack.
• Strong understanding of SSO, MFA, adaptive authentication, and user provisioning.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) to automate processes and enhance functionalities.
• Proficiency in API integrations and understanding of RESTful services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Desired Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in identity and access management, with advanced knowledge of the Okta platform.
• Experience working in a collaborative and agile environment, with an emphasis on teamwork and communication.
• Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
• Prior experience in a financial services or technology company is a plus.
