The Technician Recruitment Specialist is responsible for recruiting primarily service technicians for all MH locations. This will be achieved through the development of new, creative ideas, as well as traditional sourcing methods and development of relationships with technical training schools, colleges, and high schools.
The Technician Recruitment Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that we hire the best possible talent and fit for MH Equipment. This position works closely with the Senior Recruitment Specialist.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
- Work with Employee Services Managers on creation of job postings.
- Source and attract top talent for service technician positions, effectively assessing a candidate’s fit to the Company and culture, the team, and the position.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with trade schools, colleges, universities, community colleges and school placement offices as sources to generate qualified applicants.
- Posts jobs at trade schools and colleges, Indeed, and other online sources.
- Develop profiles and participate in various social media platforms to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Use traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Provide information on the Company and job opportunities to potential candidates.
- Screen resumes and refer qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing.
- Provide initial phone screening if requested by hiring manager.
- Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are met.
- Stay informed and understand external factors impacting the supply of top talent as well as the broader world of business.
- Manage current candidate activity and maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate processing data.
- Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
- Maintain memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry.
- Work with other MH recruiters in a team atmosphere and provide back up and support as needed.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Prepare new hire backpacks and work with IT for distribution to new employees.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Primary core value is integrity.
- At least two years of prior recruiting experience with a track record of successfully meeting staffing needs.
- Service technician or mechanical background or knowledge is a plus.
- Able to listen to hiring managers and clearly understand their recruiting needs and job specifications.
- Excellent communicator (both oral and written) who is comfortable speaking to groups and individuals.
- Outgoing personality with positive attitude, with a high energy level and a passion for the job.
- Good computer skills and fluency with Microsoft programs.
- Knowledge of HR principles and practices is a plus.
- Able to work independently and to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and able to travel.
- Meet the physical requirements of the job.
- Regular and prompt attendance required.
- Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress, and preparation.
Working Conditions: Hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Flexibility to work when required and may exceed a 40-hour workweek with some overnight travel and weekend work.
