We are a quickly growing personal injury law firm dedicated to providing our clients with aggressive representation and compassionate advocacy. We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our team and lead the litigation process for our clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, resilient, and passionate about fighting for justice.

As part of our newly restructured litigation department, you will work closely with paralegals, case managers, and other attorneys to build and manage cases through trial or settlement. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven ability to manage a diverse caseload.


Key Responsibilities

  • Case Development : Conduct detailed reviews of incoming litigation files, including pleadings, client medical records, and accident reports.
  • Discovery Management :
  • Draft and respond to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
  • Review and analyze discovery responses from opposing counsel.
  • Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses.
  • Pleadings and Motions :
  • Draft petitions, complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • File motions such as motions to compel, motions for summary judgment, and motions to strike.
  • Court Appearances : Represent clients during pretrial hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Client Advocacy :
  • Maintain communication with clients, ensuring they are informed and prepared at every stage of the litigation process.
  • Provide strategic legal advice tailored to individual cases.
  • Trial Preparation :
  • Prepare trial notebooks, witness lists, and exhibit lists.
  • Develop trial strategies, including jury instructions and voir dire questions.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with expert witnesses to strengthen case arguments.
  • Settlement Negotiations :
  • Evaluate case strengths and weaknesses to negotiate settlements effectively.
  • Communicate with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Administrative Duties :
  • Maintain detailed and organized case files.
  • Track and adhere to deadlines for court filings and procedural requirements.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas, with good standing.
  • 3+ years of personal injury litigation experience .
  • Excellent negotiation and trial advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
