Stress Engineer
Location: Wichita, KS
Contract Position
Job Description:
Perform Static, fatigue and dynamic stress analysis for Aero structures
Experience in Fleet Support (Preparing repair schemes, performing static & fatigue analysis)
Use of classical hand calculation approach to analyze both primary and secondary structures
Repair knowledge, selection of failure criteria
Experience in metallic and composite structures/components.
Use of Finite Element Methods for load extraction and to solve complex engineering problems
Participate in review meetings with Client, Customer and Suppliers.
Engineering Stress report generation and review.
Interact with customer; prepare Scope of Work, laydown the execution methodology to ensure that the projects executed meet the customer requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
At least 8 -12 years of experience in Aerospace Industry as a Stress Engineer.
Comprehensive knowledge Stress analysis of Aero structures, Nacelle and EBU systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
Hands-on experience of using Boeing Tools, Boeing Design Manuals
Fleet Support Experience – Boeing
Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 26
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
Experienced in PATRAN, NASTRAN, FEMAP, Canvas
Experience in MRB and SRM
Experience in CATIA V5, Enovia
Ability to excel in a hybrid virtual / on-site environment in a highly dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere.
