The Judge Group is seeking Director of Operations for a company in Pennsylvania. They will ensure that all departmental goals are established and aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. The qualified individual will exemplify the company principles.
Responsibilities:
- Directs production control operations to ensure all operating needs of the company are met
- Leads the Executive Team and the strategic planning process of the company
- Oversees all manufacturing and warehousing activities
- Acts as a liaison between the facilities and corporate headquarters in setting financial budgets, business plans and capital projects
- Develops key metrics with supervisors and managers that are aligned with company objectives, including: quality, efficiency, safety, yields, order fulfillment rate, downtime, on time delivery, inventory, schedule stability, and resource utilization
- Plans and attends all Executive Team meetings and approves the departmental plans for Production, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Distribution and Business Development on an annual basis
- Plans company budgets to align marketing and sales initiatives
- Supports and initiates change in the production process to promote continuous improvement
- Sets the pace for learning, work ethic, and integrity in the company while mentoring direct reports
- Oversees and coaches direct reports in the performance of their responsibilities
- Develops and manages department budgets to meet or exceed budgeted targets
- Completes performance reviews and provides feedback to reports
- Hires, trains, develops, motivates and disciplines employees
- Manages the evaluation of continuous improvement and recommend capital requirements based on the business plan
- Reviews and approves strategic plans from the Operations Team
- Plans, organizes, develop, directs, implements, and evaluates the organization’s fiscal performance and function
- Evaluates and advises on the introduction of new programs, impact of long range planning, introduction of new strategies and regulatory action
- Performs all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines and safety regulations
- Provides ongoing communication of department performance to senior management
- Oversees production, engineering, safety, safety, forecasting, senior level staffing, financial reporting, labor relations and budgeting
- Conducts appropriate benchmarking to evaluate and present new opportunities to senior management
- Ensures all employees perform job duties in compliance with all regulatory, corporate, quality, GMP, safety and fleet regulations
- Assures policies, programs and practices are effective and implemented to produce safe quality foods that meet company and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Operations Management, Business Management or Business Administration or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred, but not required
- 15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing required
- Strong working knowledge of operations financials
- Heavy background in quality assurance, GMPs and safety programs in a manufacturing setting
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
