The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for providing overall HR support for a region location including developing and supporting business strategies and operational plans. The HRBP will be responsible for employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, compensation, performance management and employee engagement. The HRBP is also responsible for communication, coordination and insuring compliance of all HR policies and practices. Liaison between branch/region and Corporate HR team.
Responsibilities
- Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Facilitates branch/regional recruiting in coordination with the Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist.
- Supports the onboarding for respective region/s according to the open role.
- Supports the integration of new employees in their respective region/s.
- Analyzes local staffing needs and takes proactive measures to develop/mentor staff for upward mobility with the collaboration of management.
- Ongoing review and benchmark of Compensation Market study vs. current compensation.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Group to develop solutions and policies.
- Conducts and manages the annual performance evaluation campaign for the region/s.
- Executes with the support of the region, the annual salary increases and bonus cycle.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Develops and implements employee relations strategies to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Reinforces company culture by taking a proactive approach to supporting and promoting the company values and culture.
- Partners with managers in finding win/win solutions to their issues and provides a safe environment for employees to bring forward issues and enable resolutions.
- Ensures compliance with company HR policies and labor standards by managers and employees.
- Collaborates with finance and prepares the annual HR budget.
- Day to Day liaises and supports the corporate HR team
- Coordinates training processes of the new hires according to the region/s protocol.
- Local contact to coordinate EE leave of absences, disability and workers comp.
- Coordinates staff departures โ conducts exit interviews.
- Compiles upcoming needs such as employee benefits enrollment.
- Leads HR transversal Topics
- Define actions to engage the employees across the country with the HR Generalists of the other regions.
- Communicates the plans.
- Is responsible for the implementation of the plans across the country.
- Manages the visa process of the region.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of study. Appropriate HR Professional Designation a plus
- Minimum 5 + years of progressive human resources generalist experience with an emphasis on employee relations (logistics environment preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years training and recruiting experience ยท Previous facilitation/training experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and within groups.
- Customer service minded professional - Resourceful with strong problem-solving skills; able to develop alternative solutions and resolve employee issues.
- Experience with HR information systems (i.e. UKG, Workable).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Facility in producing reports in Excel.
- Proven track record of forming effective relationships with client groups.
- Ability to adapt quickly and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate and work with employees at all levels required.
