The HR Total Rewards team is responsible for delivering US domestic programs including compensation, mobility, health, pension/retirement, time away from work, wellness, and more to our employees.


On-site daily. We are looking for a proven professional in the benefits space to build a domestic benefits team. While this position will build a team and mentor direct reports it is a "working management" position where you will be involved in daily decisions and working thru issues on a daily basis. This is not a position where you manage from a high level without being in the "weeds." The corporation has grown rapidly in the last 3 years to over 1200 employees and they are catching up to the growth. ***Strong tenure will be required.


The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an environment that is constantly growing and evolving and building new ways to do business. You’ll bring your experiences with workers compensation, disability, family and other leave policies, and an ability to learn and be part of creating new Total Rewards programs and projects including vendor implementations, compensation, and process improvements. You’ll have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex situations that require organization and attention to detail.


General Description Duties/Responsibilities

  • Administer domestic employee leaves, including Paid Family Leaves, Short- and Long-Term Disability, ADA, personal leaves, Workers’ Compensation and other applicable state and federal leave programs domestic and global
  • Collaborate with employees, managers, and HR and payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of leave requests
  • Modify and update procedures to coordinate with laws and regulations, to ensure company policies align with current legislation
  • Draft communications to employees
  • Act as a point of contact for employees seeking information on policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate employees and managers on topics. Collaborate with team members, HR Business Partners, and Payroll to ensure seamless coordination of leave-related or other processes.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field preferred
  • Two to three years of experience related leave of absence administration in an HR setting
  • Strong understanding of federal and state and global leave regulations, filings and compliance requirements, affecting leaves
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude including Excel, PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and benefits databases
  • Strong project management skills showcasing organizational and planning skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a fundamental knowledge of compensation and benefit programs
  • Ability to handle administration of leave and other benefit progams/project including implementations or sunsetting of programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience administering leave programs and a fundamental knowledge of administration of compensation cycles, health and welfare plans (e.g. medical, dental, vision, , life insurance, etc.), wellness programs, retirement plans
  • Experience administering and implementing benefits in an HRIS, such as ADP Workforce Now, WorkDay or similar system would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a diverse workforce.
  • Attention to detail, with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in time management, effectively prioritizing and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends or to accommodate a different time zone may be needed
  • Benefit or compensation certifications or some classes toward certification
