Demi is an intimate 20-seat, tasting menu only restaurant in the North Loop of Downtown Minneapolis. Our entire team, including culinary, hospitality, and dishwashing professionals, is only 20 people.
We are looking for a Full-Time Commis Chef who has:
- A warm and positive demeanor with colleagues and guests alike
- Ability to work independently while also actively supporting other team members throughout the restaurant
- Ability to stay focused and organized, prioritizing multiple tasks and maintaining careful attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate, give and take constructive criticism, and work productively as a team
- Fine dining or upscale restaurant experience is preferred
Responsibilities include:
- Keep walk-in and dry storage neatly organized and make sure items are properly labeled and dated per Minnesota Department of Health requirements
- Maintain FIFO (first in, first out) organization
- Assist chef team in all areas of prep and to be ready for service on time
- Communicate when ordered product is missing or out of stock and helping to find a solution with the chef team
- Support the rest of the team, including dishwashing, as needed
Requirements:
- Weekend availability
- Written and verbal English language fluency
- Ability to stand on your feet for up to 10-12 hours
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

This is a Full-Time position requiring 4 shifts per week.
