Responsibilities
•Teach recruits and hire staff that suit the business culture to provide a welcoming atmosphere for kitchen employees
•Make decisions for daily culinary operations, including exceeding guest expectations and increasing revenue and profit
•Ensure that all food preparation, including processes, portioning, and garnishing, is well supervised, and confirm that the finished dishes are visually appealing
•Create new and unique menu items and specials using various ingredients in an innovative way
•Control department costs that are under your management, such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment, and work with vendors to get the best products at a cost-effective price
Qualifications
•Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED
•Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers
•Must have 7-8 years of culinary experience for this role
•Outstanding management abilities, as well as experience leading, inspiring, and building a team
•Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage
