PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
The Langham Club, located on the 8th floor and overlooking Norman B. Leventhal Park, redefines the club concept with the ultimate in exclusivity, modern conveniences and attentive service. Guests will be able to enjoy an elevated experience by upgrading to a room or suite with Langham Club access that grants a wide range of privileges including all-day refreshments featuring five food and beverage presentations throughout the day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Have knowledge of VIPs, guest’s arrival times, group/company information and special requests, and ensure to identify guests with the club access
- Deliver all Forbes and Langham brand standards and adhere to all departmental procedures
- Work closely with Guest Relations Manager, Front Office, Concierge and Culinary team to ensure guests have memorable encounters
- Ensure that all areas of the Langham Club are always clean and in compliance with all of the Forbes and Langham brand standards
- Set up Food & Beverage timely, elegantly and communicate with Kitchen to ensure timely preparation and replenishment
- Replenish buffets and track food consumption for each shift
- Inspect and monitor the quality and presentation of the food and beverage at all times
- Inspect linen, silver, china and other table items for immaculate cleanliness and appearance
- Ensuring all china, glassware and silverware are replenished in a timely manner
- Clear, clean and re-set all tables in a timely manner, according to standards
- Welcome each guest and serve food, coffee, water and other beverages whenever appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous Food & Beverage experience a plus
- Prior experience in luxury hotel/restaurant a plus
- ServSafe certification
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Must adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to insure all laws are being followed
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to communicate (read and/or write and speak) in the English language to the level of mutual understanding with coworkers and guests
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours: sit, reach, grasp, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, walk, climb, kneel, squat, bend, push, pull
- Ability to stand/walk for length of shift
