ABOUT US

Laissez Faire is a high-end, bespoke cocktail lounge located at 10 Theatre Alley, within the historic Beekman Hotel. The club's design juxtaposes the structural foundation of the building formerly known as Temple Court, erected in 1883, with luxurious finishes and details, elevating the environment while maintaining its unique industrial essence. Open 4 days a week at 8pm, it is the perfect gathering point for early evening cocktails and bites, with martini service and an extensive food offering. Later in the night, top-tier DJs from around the world step into the gold-foil booth that presides over the 4-point Danley Sound Labs system, playing a unique blend of timelessly cool tunes.

THE POSITION

As a Manager at Laissez Faire, you will support our staff in successfully providing guests with prompt and attentive service. We are looking for a candidate that takes a hands-on approach to management and is willing to lead by example. As a Manager at Laissez Faire, you will work closely with senior management to ensure that standards and policies are represented clearly to the team and are being followed

This is a full-time position and requires flexible schedule availability. Laissez Faire is open 4 nights a week from 8pm with business hours as late as 4am on weekends. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a representative for Laissez Faire, upholding high levels of hospitality
  • Holds staff accountable to policies, procedures, service standards, and steps of service
  • Deliver superior service to maximize guest satisfaction
  • Ensure that ambience of the business meets standards set by ownership
  • Monitor guest occupancy and reservations in tandem with host team and security
  • Respond appropriately to guest complaints, criticism and praise
  • Communicate closely with management regarding all aspects of the business
  • Ensure that proper opening and closing procedures are fully completed
  • Enforcing standards for all beverage items, maintaining proper health and safety protocols
  • Maintain a good working relationship with others by promoting teamwork and fostering a harmonious work environment
  • Assist in new hire, onboarding and employee orientation
  • Assist in event client walkthroughs and event related setup and breakdown
  • Reconciles daily and weekly bank drop, tip sheet, timecards and cash log


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Independent, self-motivated thinker
  • Strong leadership and communications skills
  • Problem solving, multi-tasking and delegation
  • 1+ years experience as an F&B Manager
  • Nightlife experience preferred


BENEFITS

  • Annual salary of $70,000 - $75,000
