John Fraser Restaurants is looking for a Sous Chef to join the team at IRIS.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production
- Evaluate food products to ensure consistent quality standards
- Establish and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining DOH standards at all times
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Open availability
- Certification in NYC Food Protection License
