Be part of a brand new fast-paced chaotic fine dining restaurant in the East Village. You’ll join Executive Chef Steven Franco in building innovative and playful 6-course tasting menus for a communal table of 16.
This is a part-time position and service is currently Wednesday - Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting Executive Chef and Sous Chef with the preparation and planning of tasting menus
- Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely manner
- Ability to learn and follow recipes to execute dishes and prep
- Ability to work in a team environment and take feedback well
- Maintain safe, sanitary and organized work stations
- Our atmosphere is fun! Your responsibility is to have fun while keeping it professional
Qualifications:
- 2 to 3+ years’ experience as a Line Cook
- Fine Dining Experience Attention to detail
- Motivated and self-directed
- Pride in service and constant desire to innovative with new concepts
- Tactful and clear communication
- Excellent time management
- Teamwork-oriented with a positive attitude
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
Physical Aspects of the Line Cook Role:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
