*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Audiologist to join our healthcare team at a small inpatient hospital in Peridot, AZ for a 13-26 week contract. This role involves providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic audiology services to patients across all age groups in a close-knit, community-focused environment.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions (OAEs).
* Diagnose and manage hearing and balance disorders.
* Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
* Provide auditory rehabilitation and counseling to patients and their families.
* Collaborate with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans.
* Educate patients and families on hearing health, prevention of hearing loss, and proper use of audiological devices.
* Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately in the hospital's electronic medical record (EMR) system.
* Participate in community outreach programs and initiatives to promote hearing health awareness.
*Qualifications*
* *Education:* Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent.
* *Licensure:* Current Audiologist license in the state of Arizona or eligibility for licensure.
* *Certification:* Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA preferred.
* *Experience:* Experience in an inpatient or clinical setting is highly desirable, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
* *Skills:*
* Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic audiology procedures.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
