The role of a Behavioral Health Nurse (RN/LPN) requires a High School diploma or equivalent- Possession of a valid current Oklahoma license as a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to practice nursing and at least three (3) years of professional nursing experience. Demonstrated familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare standards and insurance claims as well as psychotropic medications. Demonstrated commitment to providing services to medically under-served persons. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
The starting hourly rate for a Registered Nurse is $37.00
The starting hourly rate for a Licensed Practical Nurse is $ 28.00

Example of Position Responsibilities:
Process referrals.
Gathers all pertinent health and mental health information.
Conducts initial appointments- Does initial health screenings.
Completes healthcare disease management goals and inserts into comprehensive treatment plan in partnership with behavioral health case manager (in partnership with team).
Supervises Wellness coach(es); conducts face-to-face interviews with clients to discuss wellness goals.
Inputs all pertinent health information into electronic health record.
Developing treatment guidelines that establish clinical pathways for health teams to follow across risk levels or health conditions.
Developing and disseminating reports that indicate progress toward meeting outcomes for client satisfaction, health status, service delivery and cost.
Communication and coordinating care with external health care providers (pharmacies, PCPs, FQHCs, home health agencies etc) and other community service providers utilized by the client.
Education and support focusing on areas such as nutrition, exercise, tobacco cessation, support with averting or managing physical health concerns like heart disease, diabetes, and cholesterol, and support regarding the effects medications have on physical health. Services can include support groups, and individual physical wellness plan development, implementation assistance and support.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds, communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees, process complex information within established procedures/programs, enter data to various programs. Must be able to climb stairs and access non-handicapped equipped residences/facilities.
