Summary of details:
Compensation: $70-100/direct client contact hour
Position type: 1099 Contract
Caseload: Minimum of 5 children/youth, Maximum of 20 children/youth
Response Time: 24/7
Location: Clinton, MS (& surrounding areas)
QUALIFICATIONS:
The MYPAC Therapist should have the following skills and experience:
M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or Social Work or equivalent degree preferred; experience with families and children preferred.
Must be licensed LCSW, LMFT, P-LPC, or LPC License or hold a DMH credential.
Willingness to provide hands-on, in-home concrete services.
Must have respect for cultural differences and families' rights to self-determination.
Must be able to assess situations quickly, and have sufficient ingenuity to cope with limited resources.
Ability to work well in a team setting.
The ability to adjust to various types of tasks and work cooperatively with different types of personalities.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
High standard of personal integrity and work ethic.
Thorough understanding of all treatment and other contract programs and an intimate knowledge of program procedures and policies.
The ability to build and maintain relationships with outside agencies. The ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
Commitment to The Center for Children and Families and Therapeutic Services Division goals and mission.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The MYPAC Therapist is hired by the MYPAC Supervisor. The MYPAC Therapist reports directly to the MYPAC Supervisor who is responsible for his/her performance evaluations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate acceptable level of commitment to the Core Values and Mission of The Center for Children and Families.
Maintain all confidential information.
Complete all necessary training.
Provide assistance to the MYPAC Director/Supervisor and MYPAC team as needed and when requested.
MYPAC therapist will meet at least, once a week for a therapeutic session and once a month with the family
Generate and maintain case notes and treatment plans.
Create and Individualized person-centered treatment plan, documentation and care for children and youth who experience severe and impairing psychiatric symptoms and behavioral disturbances.
Provide Crisis Intervention Services as needed.
Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
Provide assistance and consultation for other staff members as needed and when requested.
Complete work time sheets weekly.
MYPAC therapist will serve only children/youth receiving MYPAC services and will have a minimum caseload requirement of at least five (5) children/youth and a maximum caseload of 20 children/youth. Establish and maintain exemplary working relationships with local and regional collaterals and referral sources.
MYPAC therapist will maintain specialize services and supports in the community, and an array of clinical interventions and family supports.
Attend weekly staffing with MYPAC Supervisor and team to review all active cases. Perform staff performance evaluations.
MYPAC therapist must be able to respond to crises/emergencies for each child/youth and family served 24 hours per day/7 days per week.
Collaborate respectfully with all agency staff.
Attend all trainings, meetings, retreats as directed by the Clinical Director.
Other duties assigned by Clinical Director and MYPAC Supervisor of The Center for Children and Families.
