FT/PT Status: Full-time
Hourly Rate: $26.00 to $30.00 (DOE – Depending on Experience)
Shift: Must have weekend availability

Description:
Under the direction of the Transportation Manager, the trainer provides quality training that produces skilled divers to safely operate commercial vehicles and meet United Salad Co. workforce needs. They will perform duties related to delivering the appropriate instructional program that guides and encourages newly hired drivers. Requires training skills. Calls for flexibility, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with all levels of internal management and staff as well as customers. This role will also involve going out on route deliveries.

Responsibilities:
•Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
•Communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
•Instruct and monitor new drivers in the use of learning materials and equipment.
•Use relevant technology to support instruction.
•Observe and evaluate new drivers' performance and development.
•Provide appropriate feedback on work.
•Encourage and monitor the progress of new drivers.
•Maintain accurate and complete records of drivers' progress and development.
•Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies, and DOT regulations.
•Prepare required reports on drivers and activities.
•Manage drivers' behavior while in training by enforcing rules and procedures.
•Perform certain duties including but not limited to driver support, counseling with training problems, and encouragement.
•Communicate necessary information regularly to drivers and Management regarding drivers’ progress and needs.
•Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries.
•Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery.
•Accurately operate an Automatic Driver Log Device.
•Load and unload product from trailer w/electric pallet jack.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Management.

Job Qualifications:
•Interstate DOT qualification of 21+ Years of age
•Post-high school education and experience in writing procedures and safety instructions
•Valid Class A CDL and Medical Card
•Must have weekend availability
•Interstate qualifications
•Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50lbs throughout shift
•Per DOT rules, the applicant should have the ability to read and understand English
•Satisfactory driving record
•Ability to maintain accurate records, assemble and organize data, and to prepare reports
•Computer applications related to work
•Basic knowledge of MS Office Word
•The ability to be flexible, and interface professionally with all levels of employees.
