*Dosher Medical Network* (full-time) $1,500.00 Sign-On Bonus

The Medical Assistant/LPN will perform mostly administrative duties and work the front end of the clinic. When needed will have certain clinical duties under the direction of the physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination and drawing blood.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

*High School Graduate or equivalent*

*Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program (preferred) or documentation of training equivalent to training of a Medical Assistant accredited program or Graduate of an approved LPN program and current licensure in the State of North Caolina*

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

*Current BLS certification.*

NECESSARY SKILLS

*With appropriate supervision, ability to evaluate and assess the need for medical services. *Exercise independent judgment.

*Ability to work with individuals and families in a clinical setting to resolve health problems. *Perform skilled patient care tasks, such as taking vital signs, administering injections, assisting with sterile procedures and performing the tasks as appropriate to training and directed by the provider.

*Knowledge regarding use and effects of medications and immunizations.*

*Possess strong interviewing and counseling techniques.*
