Midwest Search Group is partnering with a dynamic Controller for their next Senior Accountant. This organization is located in Des Moines and will support accurate and timely financial records and reports. Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
* Analyze financials and identify trends, variances, and areas of opportunity
* Perform general ledger entries and account reconciliations
* Contribute to process improvements, and review/enhance controls
* Provide support during internal and external audit
* Assist Accounting Clerk as needed to maintain day to day transactions

Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Accounting required, CPA designation or Masters preferred
* 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
* Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office products
* Strong attention to detail and analytical
* Motivated, positive, and engaging personality
