What you’ll be doing?
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems that support our business operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in both hardware and software systems, and a deep understanding of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Systems Administration:
Manage and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
Perform routine system maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.
Monitor system performance and respond to alerts and incidents.
Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with security policies and standards, and support audits and vulnerability assessments.
Desktop Support:
Provide Tier 1 and 2 support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including setting up and decommissioning accounts, devices, and access permissions.
Install and configure desktop applications and operating systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues for users.
Project Support & Collaboration:
Participate in IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT solutions that meet business requirements.
Act as a technical resource for junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship.
What we’re looking for?
Required skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in systems administration and desktop support.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies.
Proficiency in scripting and automation.
Familiarity with network configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., switches, firewalls, VLANs).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or similar are a plus.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Customer service orientation and ability to interact with non-technical users.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
