Remote Capital Budget Analyst
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Contract Type: Temporary (14 weeks) to possible Permanent
Pay Range: $75K - $90K

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and conscientious Sr. Capital Analyst to join the Decision Support team. This role involves administering the capital tracking process and assisting in the development and administration of the system’s capital budgeting process. The ideal candidate is someone with an accounting background who desires a shift away from traditional accounting functions and is open to eventually transitioning to a permanent role. Experience in capital management or healthcare is advantageous but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate the capital tracking process, including preparing agendas, materials, and minutes for biweekly Capital Committee Meetings.
Process and reconcile approved capital requests using Axiom and PeopleSoft systems.
Assist in preparing the annual capital budget, including data gathering, system maintenance, and report preparation.
Maintain tables, reports, and utilities within the Axiom system related to capital planning and tracking.
Provide guidance and support to department leaders on capital planning and tracking procedures.
Collaborate with Decision Support and Finance Division staff to align capital planning with related functions (e.g., purchasing, accounts payable).
Identify and implement improvements in the capital planning and tracking processes.
Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field combined with 5+ years of related work experience.
Experience:

4-7 years of experience in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:

Acute care healthcare experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of hospital operations and business functions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Axiom capital tracking software.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
Ability to manage deadlines under pressure with attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:

Primarily an office-based role with occasional sitting, walking, and computer use.
