Barback is responsible for stocking and re-stocking all bar inventories and supplies while maintaining the organization of the bar. The barback assists bartenders in cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, syrups, and infusions, keeping all liquor displays and shelving organized and well maintained. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support bartenders throughout service by ensuring the bar is always stocked and set up for service to ensure a high level of quality service.
Restocking, cocktail batching, wine cellaring
Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring that all areas meet cleanliness standards and are free of hazards. Follow company procedures for handling cleaning supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the bar and bar area by promptly cleaning empty glassware, dishes, and trash. As well as keeping all back-of-house storage and refrigeration clean and organized.
Collaboration: Work closely with all staff members to maintain an organized, efficient, and guest-friendly environment. Take directions from management and head bartender.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a restaurant or lounge environment required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude and a willingness to assist guests and team members.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and carrying.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
