Due to an upcoming retirement, we are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee the financial operations of the company, guide its financial strategy and planning, and maintain its fiscal stability. The CFO will collaborate with the executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounting, Human Resources, and IT Departments.
- Manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and annual audit. Ensure that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization's short and long-term business objectives and comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
- Provide financial analysis with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Develop and implement the financial strategy of the company, including long-term financial planning and forecasting, risk management, and financing strategies. Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial controls and guidelines to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Assist with and coordinate the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements and periodic financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the President, parent company, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions, including tax planning and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Work with external auditors and provide necessary information for annual audits.
- Direct the Finance and Accounting team and ensure their ongoing professional development and training. Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Professional accreditation, CPA strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience in senior financial managerial roles, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis, risk management, and forecasting methods.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Internet, and financial management software, with an aptitude for quickly learning new software applications; experience with Agility (DMSi) a plus.
