HRM – Manufacturing Sector

Company Overview
Our client produces a functional range of high-performance products to waterproof, insulate, and drainage solutions for buildings—from foundations to roofs, dedicated to providing high-quality products through innovation, safety, and operational excellence. We are seeking a highly experienced HR Manager to oversee human resources operations and employee relations in a dynamic, multicultural manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will drive strategic HR initiatives while maintaining a strong presence on the production floor to support a thriving workforce.
Key Responsibilities
HR Policies and Compliance
• Develop and implement an employee handbook and HR policies in compliance with U.S.
labor laws and regulations.
• Ensure consistent application of policies related to anti-discrimination, FMLA, equal opportunity, and workplace conduct standards.
• Handle HR-related legal matters, including employee disputes and litigation.
Talent Acquisition and Management
• Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding, and offboarding processes for all levels of employees, including expatriates.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date job descriptions aligned with business goals.
• Design and implement performance management systems and career development plans.
Payroll and Benefits Administration
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Design and manage competitive and sustainable employee benefits and compensation strategies.
• Maintain and organize employee records, contracts, and benefits documentation.
Training and Development
• Collaborate with safety consultants to implement and monitor OSHA-compliant policies and training.
• Deliver employee training programs, including safety protocols, leadership coaching, and skill development.
• Mentor and coach managers to enhance team performance and workplace morale.
Employee Relations and Retention
• Investigate and resolve employee issues to foster a positive workplace environment.
• Implement engagement and retention strategies, particularly for blue-collar employees.
• Maintain a visible presence on the production floor to engage with employees and address concerns.
Strategic HR Support
• Partner with the Plant Director and senior leadership to define organizational structures, hierarchical levels, and differentiated benefit strategies.
• Manage expat procedures, including onboarding, relocation, and visa compliance.
• Organize team-building activities to promote an inclusive and collaborative company culture.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of HR management experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Skills
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of US. labor laws , OSHA standards, and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing expatriate employees and global mobility procedures.
• Proven ability to lead and manage blue-collar teams with authority and respect.
• Open-minded and adaptable, with experience in multicultural work environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Additional Requirements
• Hands-on and approachable, with a strong presence on the production floor.
• Experience in safety protocols and supporting safety consultants.
• Demonstrated ability to align HR strategies with organizational objectives.
