A top employer in the E-Vehicle industry is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to support our onsite Cell Engineering team in developing and producing cutting-edge battery cells, specifically focusing on the Anode team.
As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in our Cell Engineering team, primarily managing the electrode processing and conducting analytical testing. Your responsibilities will include training team members in analytical electrode testing, operating large calendaring tools, and performing delicate tasks with analytical equipment such as SEM and TGA. You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the electrode processing is efficient and precise, handling fragile components carefully.
Your day-to-day activities will encompass following detailed SOPs while understanding deviations, conducting analytical tests, and taking meticulous notes on processes. You will work with the Lead Technician to make sure all equipment is functioning optimally, helping in diagnosing equipment issues and supporting preventive maintenance. Additionally, you will work in a controlled dry room environment, adhering to strict safety protocols while managing the handling of dusty powders.
SHIFT:
• Monday - Friday: 8 am or earlier start time
• Must be flexible to work some overtime
IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
• 75% of this technician's day will be spent in a dry room with PPE being worn including a respirator
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 1+ years' experience Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly with mechanical equipment and machine operation
• Computer savviness and experience using Excel to update documents
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Comfort working in a dry room environment with dusty powders
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Dexterity and experience working with very delicate, small equipment/tools
• Experience as an R&D Lab Technician
• Background in varied machine operations rather than repetitive tasks
PAY:
$25hr - $35hr
