About the Role - Delawie is seeking an experienced and talented Architectural Job Captain to join our team to work on-site in either our San Diego or Long Beach, CA office. The successful candidate will assist in the development of design solutions and preparation of construction documents in collaboration within a project team.
The successful candidate filling this position will:
- Have an engaging, client-centric approach to project delivery.
- Demonstrate a dedicated spirit towards client satisfaction through design excellence.
- Work under the direction of a Project Manager/Architect and Principal(s) and perform at a high level with limited oversight.
Ideal candidates must be a team player who is well organized, detail oriented, focused, design driven, accurate, and committed to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, documenting, and coordinating projects, from conceptualization through development and execution in the field.
- Follow projects from inception through construction to maintain design quality and intent.
- Participate in design presentations.
- Support and assist other architectural technical staff.
- Supports the Construction Administration phase assisting the Project manager by responding to RFI’s, reviewing submittals, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor/Masters of Architecture, and with 3 to 5 years experience post-education in an architectural design firm, or equivalent, is desired.
Proficiency in the technical skills of architectural design including:
- Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM Collaborate Pro.
- MS Office, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, or similar 3-D graphic software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the architectural planning and design process, construction documentation, construction administration and code requirements
- Excellent written, verbal and graphic communication, organizational and collaborative skills
- Willingness to work within a team.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
- Accreditation/Registration/Licensure or Pursuing Accreditation/Registration/Licensure preferred.
- Ability to support multiple projects.
