Job Title: Product Manager Status: Full-time/Exempt
Reports to: Vice President of Technology Work Schedule: Flexible within normal operational hours
Overview: The Product Manager has supervisory responsibilities and directs daily activities to produce fabricated products manufactured by Utilitra’ s Technology Department.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring customers have a good experience with Utilitra’ s manufactured products and support staff.
- Supervise team and contractors throughout the production life cycle, escalate issues to executive management.
- Approve all bids and production related documents.
- Approve production resources and staffing.
- Identify and address production related roadblocks.
- Oversee vendors and subcontractors to meet production expectations.

- Work with office staff on procurement of products
- Create lean processes to improve efficiency
- Identify inventory concerns
- Establish a network of logistical suppliers
- Oversee financial responsibilities for manufactured productions
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with customers and owns the business-to-business relationships with Utilitra authorized partners.
- Sets priorities, coordinates production resources, and reports group activities.
- Defines production team needs based on business goals, employee needs, and strategic plans
- Establish SLAs in association with production objectives and customer needs.
- Drive the overall product offerings and strategy, create new offerings to ensure Utilitra stays at the forefront of technology.
- Establishes, implements, and controls technology related materials for manufactured products.
- Stays on top of industry trends, new products and solutions, and upcoming external factors that could impact business solutions.
- Create custom bill of materials to meet customers needs
- Selects, coaches, mentors, and evaluates employees including new employee onboarding and career development planning.
- Empowers employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals.
- Provide input into evaluations and other feedback for less senior technicians; input regarding lateral moves, promotions, additional training needs, and dismissals carries significant weight.
- Audit the practices on safety and champion safety throughout the production lifecycle.

Education and/or Experience:
- Associate degree and/or technology certifications; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience and expertise in two or more areas of relevant technology required.
- Documented customer service experience
- Proficiency in creation of manufactured goods and services.
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
- Technology background is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; commitment to excellent customer service
- Ability to use independent judgment, maintain a high level of confidentiality and operate under minimal supervision.
- Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record required.
- Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) required.
