Travel Activity Therapist Opportunity

Assignment Details – Activity/Recreational Therapy

- Specialty: Behavioral Health
- Location: Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND
- Duration: 13 weeks with potential to renew
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Shift: Days, 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Enhanced hourly rate & tax-exempt stipend where applicable
- Weekly rate: $2,283 - $2,582
- Bi-weekly pay
- Paid travel to/from assignment

Job duties to include:
- Conduct activity therapy to improve functioning and independence
- Provide activity resources and opportunities for all patients with a focus on improving health and well-being
- Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients’ functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients’ treatment team
- Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations
- Assess patient needs regularly and assist in the developing and updating of the Master Treatment Plan
- Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient
- Provide group educational therapies to assigned patients consistent with established techniques and methods relevant to the professional literature

Travel Therapist Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Licensure/Certification: may consider Music, Art, Recreational, Occupational, Dance Therapist certification Registered Art Therapist, Certified Music Therapist, Registered Physical Therapist, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Certified Yoga Instructor
- Experience: Two (2) or more years' experience providing activity therapy; prefer experience in a behavioral health/psychiatric setting
