ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Income Tax Analyst will play a critical role in the preparation of tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. This includes assisting with the analysis of M&A transactions, uncertain tax positions, and the maintenance of SOX controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in ASC 740, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across different functions and regions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ASC 740 and other relevant accounting standards
• Maintaining SOX controls and documentation, including technical memos on positions and processes
• Preparation of quarterly tax risk assessment in accordance with FIN 48
• Preparation of tax provisions for statutory financials.
• Preparation of the cash tax forecast
• Assist with the analysis of merger and acquisition transactions to accurately determine opening balance sheet positions as well as purchase price allocations
• Support tax technology initiatives
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's degree

Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree

Field of Study Preferred: Taxation
Required Work Experience: 7 years

Required Training/Certifications: MST or CPA

Required Computer and Software Skills: Advanced Excel skills, SAP, OIT, and OTP are a plus.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required

Additional Requirements:

• Experience using tax research tools is required
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
