Position Summary: Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care of patients. Ensures that Cardiac Rehab is safe, comprehensive, cost-effective and medically appropriate for individual patients. Contributes to the development of Cardiac Rehabilitation by acting as a credible role model, educator, and an expert clinician, using current research and evidence-based practice. Assists the Director, Rehabilitation Services with managing the department to provide high-quality care compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintains a positive impact on morale and promotes teamwork.
Experience
Required: Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Cardiac Nurse
Preferred: 1-3 years in a supervisory role; experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

Education
Required: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Masters Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field

License and Credentials
Required: Current NJ State Nursing license
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Skills
Required: Proficient in using an ECG machine and telemetry monitoring; Prescription development; Cardiopulmonary Rehab; Maintain required continuing education credits; Computer proficiency; Proficient in using a sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, scales, height stick, body mass index (BMI) calculation, resuscitation equipment including a defibrillator.
HOURS: Full-time 80 hours per pay period
