  • Job Summary: Travel RN position at Lewisgale Medical Center in Salem, VA.
  • Unit Name: AU1, AU2, AU3
  • Number of Beds: 60
  • Patient Ratios: AU1 up to 23 adult patients, AU2/ADOL up to 8 adult patients and up to 8 adolescents, AU3 up to 14 adult patients.
  • Type of equipment: Quick Release Synthetic Restraints, Meditech, Computer, Printer, Fax, telephone, EKG.
  • Documentation system: MEDITECH.
    Job Requirements
  • Behavioral Health Experience
  • Electronic Health Record Documentation
  • Advanced skills needed: Verbal De-escalation
    Schedule Information
  • Scheduling requirements: every other weekend and rotating holidays.
  • Full time core staff work 3-12 hour shifts/week.
  • Modified self-scheduling (4 weeks in advance) – block scheduling available by request.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Procedures performed on unit: Observation Rounds/Monitoring, Vital Signs, Glucometer, Patient/Belongings Search, Milieu Management/safety, Group Therapy (educational).
    Additional Details
  • Unit staffing description: AU1 up to 23 adult patients, AU2/ADOL up to 8 adult patients and up to 8 adolescents, AU3 up to 14 adult patients.
  • Floating policy: Float to all units.
  • Patient Experience requirements: Expected to complete Care Experience Module during Onboarding.
  • Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
